Periscope ~ Video Streaming pd! Anytime, anywhere!

Meet the newest social media app that is taking the Education Community by storm, Periscope!
This app from Twitter, lets you stream live video broadcasts over your phone so others can watch in real time. To me it is like having a webinar on your phone.. ;)

Educators across the globe are using this app to deliver short PD on all kinds of topics relating to the classroom. Can't watch it live? NO PROBLEM! Use the site Katch to get a replay of the periscope created.

Below is my first Periscope on the App Tiny Tap. In this scope you will learn how to create your own, as well as, gain ideas for the classroom. Stay tuned though, because I will creating more scopes for additional PD resources. :)

Jen Jones, founder of Hello Literacy, did some great Periscopes about Digital Creation last week. Below are links to a few of them. Definitely worth it to watch!

I loved the idea that Jen shared about having students do a research project, then creating a Kahoot to share with the class to see how much they learned from the topic.
