Courtney Hutchings at Middle School East asked students to analyze a poem by Maya Angelou utilizing Today's Meet for online collaboration.

Steve Peters, 4th grade at Arlington Elementary, asked his students to discuss text connections upon reading about Abraham Lincoln.

Torrie Smith at Bunker Hill Elementary, even did a Today's Meet with her 1st graders! Rhyming words, what they are thankful for, and even math problems.
Kara Lamb at Franklin Central High School chose to have her Advanced Speech class engage in an online debate using Today's Meet. View a portion of their transcript below. 
Kristie Coker and Amber Russell, 5th grade at Kitley Elementary, took their Today's Meet to the next level by collaborating between the two classes about Main Idea and Details.

chatterpix

At the Hot Spot Training we discussed the Web 2.0 App Chatterpix for primary students and how they can interact when communicating digitally. The intermediate teachers all LOVED the app as well, and immediately began integrating it with standards in many content areas. Check out their fabulous work below!
Emily Naftzger's 8th grade class at Middle School West created Chatterpix to analyze a character's dialogue.
